Wolf Tooth Direct Mount Drop-Stop Chainring

With so many direct mount chainring styles on the market, it can be hard to find the right fitment and size, but never fear! Wolf Tooth make the choice easy with a selection of top quality chainring options.Who's this item for: Riders in need of an upgrade or replacement direct mount chainring.

Chain retention technology: 

Drop-Stop technology is Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainring design. The wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. The narrow side allows clearance for mud and debris which reduces friction. Alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern prevents chain derailment.

The new Shimano 12-speed chain rings use a different technology than Drop-Stop as the Shimano 12 speed chains are not compatible with the standard Drop-Stop tooth profile. The HG+ chain interacts with the chainring differently than a traditional narrow/wide design so Wolf Tooth took the time to understand how the HG+ system worked before they produced their new Shimano 12-speed HG+ compatible chainrings. 


Chainring Fitment: Cannondale Hollowgram - FSA Modular Direct Mount

Chain Compatibility: 
  • For 1x9, 1x10, 1x11 and 1x12 drivetrains (including SRAM Eagle).
  • Compatible with all 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains except Shimano 12-speed chains. 
  • If using a 9-speed drivetrain use a 10-speed chain (shifts and works well on a 9-speed drivetrain and fits the ring tighter for better chain retention). 

Crankset Compatibility: 

This direct mount chainring will replace your existing spider/chainring on Road and CX Cannondale Hollowgram SI & SISL cranks. These are NOT compatible with Cannondale mountain bike cranksets because the chainline will be too far off from optimal.  

Chainline: 44mm only.

Weight: 38t - 100g, 40t - 110g, 42t - 117g


Chainring Fitment: Race Face - Easton Cinch Direct Mount

Chain Compatibility:

  • 9, 10, 11, & 12spd Eagle - These chainrings are designed to work with all 9 speed, 10 speed, and 11 speed chains. They also work with 12 speed Eagle and 12 speed KMC chain. 
  • Shimano 12-speed chains require the use of Shimano 12-speed specific chainring.
  • If using a 9-speed drivetrain use a 10-speed chain. It fits tighter for better chain retention. 

Crankset Compatibility: Easton Cinch cranksets including EC90SL. Race Face Cinch system cranksets.

Chainline: Both standard (142mm rear hub spacing) and Boost (148mm hub spacing) offsets available.

Chainring Fitment: S-Works SWX Direct Mount 

Chain Compatibility: Suits 10 or 11speed chains (10sp chain works on 9sp drivetrain)

Chain Compatibility:

Crankset Compatibility:

  • These direct mount chainrings will replace your existing chainring and spider or replace the direct mount ring on SRAM cranksets including the DUB cranks. The ring is attached via 3 bolts on the back side of the spider near the spindle. 
  • Note that the SRAM 12spd Red and Force AXS use a different 8 bolt mounting interface that is not compatible with these chainrings.

Chainline: There are 3 offsets (6mm, 3mm and 0mm):

  • Standard: 47mm chainline, 6mm offset for cyclocross and road cranks
  • Standard: 49mm chainline, 6mm offset for GXP and long spindle BB30 
  • Boost: 52mm chainline, 3mm offset
  • BB30: 49mm chainline, 0mm offset for BB30 short spindle cranks
  • Fat Bikes: If your fat bike has a 170/177 rear hub spacing, use the Standard 6mm offset
  • If you have a BB30 crankset (30mm diameter Aluminum Spindle) the measurement in the spindle picture will determine whether it is a long or short spindle.

  • Parcels & larger items can take anywhere from 2-7 business days to arrive (delays are occurring due to COVID-19). Please use the tracking number provided.

  • This service may exceed recommended times when shipping to regional areas.
  • Drift Bikes holds no responsibility for the period of time it takes for your parcel to reach you once it has left our building.

TIPS FOR A SMOOTH DELIVERY

  • Ensure someone will be home on the day of delivery (check your tracking number for this) with easy accessibility for the courier to deliver. 
  • Delivery to business address's preferable that are open during normal business hours. Makes life easier for the courier to park and deliver.
  • Do not use a P.O box for delivery.

 

 

RETURNS

  • Full priced items are eligible for exchange or online store credit.
  • Promotion/sale items - final sale and not eligible for return or exchange
  • If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help! We don’t refund on change of mind purchases, however we do exchange full priced items within 14 days of the order date.

CONDITIONS OF RETURNS/EXCHANGES

  • Promotional or sale items are not eligible for return/exchange. 
  • Returned items must be unused and in their original condition with all tags attached. 
  • The returned item must be in the original packaging (e.g. shoe box).
  • The receipt or proof of purchase must be included with the return. 
  • The customer must cover the cost of the return postage for the item (unless deemed faulty by our team). 
  • If exchanging an item, the customer must cover the cost of the new item being posted. An invoice for the postage will be sent prior to the new item being sent out.

 

RETURNING YOUR ONLINE ORDER

If you aren’t happy with your purchase, make sure you have read our conditions of return then follow the steps below:

  • Fill out the returns & exchanges form supplied in your order and send back, or:
  • Email us at info@driftbikes.com.au or call us (02) 4924 2600 with your order number and a note explaining whether you require an exchange or credit note. 
  • Pack all items with your invoice in a secure carton or reuse the original packaging. Please ensure that all boxed items are enclosed in a satchel or bubble wrap for protection or the return may be refused.

FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

We are so sorry if you receive a product that is faulty or incorrect. If this happens, please follow the below so that we can sort the issue out as quickly as possible for you!

  • Email us at info@driftbikes.com.au with your order number, a brief description of the fault/incorrect item along with a photo of item. 
  • Once we receive your email we’ll let you know the instructions for sending back the item.  
  • On receipt of the item, we’ll inspect it and provide you with an update. If your return is approved, we’ll initiate a refund to your credit card (or original payment method). The time that it takes for the credit to process will depend on your cards issuer's policies



FAQ - GIFT VOUCHERS

  • What type of Gift Cards do you offer? We offer gift cards for in-store purchases and a separate gift card for online purchases.
  • How much is postage for Gift Vouchers? Free postage to anywhere in Australia and guaranteed delivery within 7 business days.
  • Can In-store Gift Vouchers be used to purchase items on the website? No, Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed in-store. Purchase an Online Gift Card if you want to make purchases online.
  • How long is a Drift Bikes voucher valid? 36 months from date of purchase. 
  • If I lose my Gift Voucher am I still able to redeem it if I can show a receipt? Unfortunately no. Gift Vouchers are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
