The emicro Merlin is the super smooth electric scooter with full suspension and built in electronic display to show the rider the current battery level, speed and more.

The emicro Merlin can reach speeds of 25km/h* with a range of up to 25km* for rider autonomy. With intuitive handling operated by a responsive thumb throttle and brake, the emicro Merlin ensures that journeys can be made safely and effortlessly.

Comparatively lightweight and compact the emicro Merlin can be easily carried, stored at the office or tucked away on public transport. The foot engaged folding mechanism enables you to quickly release and lower the scooter with ease and control.

The 11kg electric scooter has an outstanding performance ability through the combination of dual suspension and large 200mm wide rubber tyres which provide extra grip and absorption of impact/vibration. The cruise control function makes the longer distances easy and not to mention comfortable to travel at a steady speed.

Be seen and safe with the intelligent, integrated light which automatically switches on when riding in the dark. The new emicro Merlin embodies the utmost in electric functionality and design built with the latest technology and comfort at the core.

4 Ride Programmes

Choose from Pedestrian, Eco, Standard, Sport and Active modes. Each mode has a different max speed and max power the motor uses.

Regenerative braking

As well as physical braking the emicro Merlin uses regenerative braking. This assists in charging the battery when you brake and creates shorter braking distances.

Customise Tap Speed Settings

Using the thumb throttle you can change between 4 pre-programmed speed settings

Integrated Motor Hub

The Swiss designed motor is located inside the back wheel. It's high rotation speed lets the motor produce an enormous 500 watts.

Dual Core Wheel

A combination of dual suspension and 200mm wide rubber tyres for extra grip, absorption of impact and vibration.

On/Off

Easily power on/off the scooter with a button on the display unit.

Electronic Display

When powered on the scooters electronic displays provides the rider with information about the battery level, speed, distance traveled and outside temperature.

Questions & Answers

Q: Can you take the emicro Merlin on board an aeroplane?

A: The battery capacity of the emicro Merlin is larger than the maximum Lithium Ion battery size that most airlines will accept. However always check with your chosen airline beforehand as they may have their own regulations and restrictions.

Q: Are children also allowed to ride it?

A: No, the emicro Merlin electric scooter is not a toy. It is an electrical vehicle and is not suitable for children. We recommend a minimum age of 18 years.

Q: What does the electronic display show?

A: The display shows the rider the current battery level, speed, distance travelled and the outside temperature.

Q: What do the numbers on the top of the electronic display represent?

A: These indicate the speed levels. As your speed build you will note the numbers go up from 1, 2 and 3. They are in a sense like the gears in a car - they automatically change as your speed and power output increases.

Q: How does the e-micro Merlin scooter work?

A: Before you turn the scooter on you can determine which speed mode you would like to select. Simply hold down the brake thumb paddle, turn on the scooter then press the accelerator paddle either once (Pedestrian), twice (Eco), three times (Standard) or four times (Sport) to confirm your selection. Each mode offers a maximum top speed and power output which will affect the battery usage. Once selected simply kick off with one foot, press down on the accelerator and away you go.

Q: Can you also go uphill?

A: As well as use on flat terrain, the emicro Merlin has a built in sport mode purposely designed for hills. It provides the maximum power output to get you up hills you may encounter.

IF I BUY ONLINE, ARE THE ITEMS IN STOCK?

Our online stock is linked to our inventory so what you see online is in stock. 

While we try to keep our inventory as accurate as possible, there will sometimes be errors in the system. In this instance, we will notify you as soon as possible and process a refund on the same day.

  • Parcels & larger items can take anywhere from 2-7 business days to arrive (delays are occurring due to COVID-19). Please use the tracking number provided.

  • This service may exceed recommended times when shipping to regional areas.
  • Drift Bikes holds no responsibility for the period of time it takes for your parcel to reach you once it has left our building.

  • All items online are available to pick up in-store if you live close by, please choose this option at the checkout.
  • Items will be ready to collect almost immediately after your order is placed. A confirmation email will be sent.
  • We are located at 1/58 Northcott Drive, Kotara, NSW 2289. 
  • Items can only be collected in business hours. (See opening hours here)
  • Please bring your I.D or confirmation email with you to collect items.

 


TIPS FOR A SMOOTH DELIVERY

  • Ensure someone will be home on the day of delivery (check your tracking number for this) with easy accessibility for the courier to deliver. 
  • Delivery to business address's preferable that are open during normal business hours. Makes life easier for the courier to park and deliver.
  • Do not use a P.O box for delivery.

 

 

RETURNS

  • Full priced items are eligible for exchange or online store credit.
  • Promotion/sale items - final sale and not eligible for return or exchange
  • If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help! We don’t refund on change of mind purchases, however we do exchange full priced items within 14 days of the order date.

CONDITIONS OF RETURNS/EXCHANGES

  • Promotional or sale items are not eligible for return/exchange. 
  • Returned items must be unused and in their original condition with all tags attached. 
  • The returned item must be in the original packaging (e.g. shoe box).
  • The receipt or proof of purchase must be included with the return. 
  • The customer must cover the cost of the return postage for the item (unless deemed faulty by our team). 
  • If exchanging an item, the customer must cover the cost of the new item being posted. An invoice for the postage will be sent prior to the new item being sent out.

 

RETURNING YOUR ONLINE ORDER

If you aren’t happy with your purchase, make sure you have read our conditions of return then follow the steps below:

  • Fill out the returns & exchanges form supplied in your order and send back, or:
  • Email us at info@driftbikes.com.au or call us (02) 4924 2600 with your order number and a note explaining whether you require an exchange or credit note. 
  • Pack all items with your invoice in a secure carton or reuse the original packaging. Please ensure that all boxed items are enclosed in a satchel or bubble wrap for protection or the return may be refused.

FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

We are so sorry if you receive a product that is faulty or incorrect. If this happens, please follow the below so that we can sort the issue out as quickly as possible for you!

  • Email us at info@driftbikes.com.au with your order number, a brief description of the fault/incorrect item along with a photo of item. 
  • Once we receive your email we’ll let you know the instructions for sending back the item.  
  • On receipt of the item, we’ll inspect it and provide you with an update. If your return is approved, we’ll initiate a refund to your credit card (or original payment method). The time that it takes for the credit to process will depend on your cards issuer's policies

  • What type of Gift Cards do you offer? We offer gift cards for in-store purchases and a separate gift card for online purchases.
  • How much is postage for Gift Vouchers? Free postage to anywhere in Australia and guaranteed delivery within 7 business days.
  • Can In-store Gift Vouchers be used to purchase items on the website? No, Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed in-store. Purchase an Online Gift Card if you want to make purchases online.
  • How long is a Drift Bikes voucher valid? 36 months from date of purchase. 
  • If I lose my Gift Voucher am I still able to redeem it if I can show a receipt? Unfortunately no. Gift Vouchers are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

    Measure and measure again

    The side of these are a little tighter than norm. the shape is more oval so give yourself some leeway. If you measure on the far end of the size spectrum, go up a size if you got a round skull. Other than that, very comfy, VERY light helmet. makes you forget you are wearing one.
