The 1st of October marks the start of Specialized Womens Ride month. We are excited to announce a whole bunch of rides which will be taking place in Glenrock with a focus on women who are new to cycling and the sport of mountain biking.
Hosted by Joanne Nelson, Drift Bikes very own Fairy Godmother, the rides are designed to give first timers and beginners a chance to get their wheels dirty in a pressure free environment. So ladies, if you or the lady in your life is interested in the world of mountain biking then these are the rides you're looking for.
Registration is free but essential.
Simply EMAIL US your details and we will confirm your spot on the ride.
Ride requirements are as follows:
- Helmet is Compulsory
- Bring WATER (you will get thirsty, you will probably sweat and double it if it's a hot day.)
- Bring a snack ( a muesli bar, energy gel or piece of fruit cake never goes astray when riding for a couple of hours)
- Have your bike checked over ( to avoid hassles on the trail and cutting into yours and others ride time, drop into Drift and have an experienced eye look over your bike for trail worthiness. We know from experience that there's no worse feeling than turning up to a ride and then having your bike let you down because you weren't prepared)
