When the mention of a winery with its own mountain bike trail was made some time ago we thought to our selves that sounds like a recipe for a good weekend away. So here it is, the DRIFT BIKES Wolves in a Wine Barrel Social Adventure.

......it has been said that this ride will be better than winning the lotto (whatever that means)
The Trails are in Baerami which is located 2 hrs from Newcastle or 1.5 hrs from Maitland. And contains approximately 2 hrs of riding in the area.
Following the ride you can feel free to stretch out with a home packed picnic and we recommend sampling some of the fine produce from the James Estate cellar door.
The cellar door is also where the Ridge Walk heads off from if there are some non riding spouses etc (20 mins or 1 1/2 hours).
There is also the option to camp on the Saturday night, where some of us will be taking the family up early for a night in the vines. The facilities cater for basic camping with some mod cons ie there is a stable block with some basics like a flushing toilet, a hot shower and power (10 amp) and lights.
