Keen to get out and make the most of this coming weekend? Interested in cyclng? You're in luck!
Bikefest Newcastle is happening this Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October 2012 at Honeysuckle. Bikefest is a celebration of cycling for fun, fitness and transport. There will be bike rides, entertainment, street art, expos, workshops, Bikestyle fashion parades and test rides at locations along Newcastle's beautiful foreshore and scenic cycleways.
DRIFT BIKES is proud to be hosting a FREE kids ride area in front of Newcastle Museum from 10am - 4pm both days. We will have the full range of Specialized HOTROCK kids bikes on hand for the little ones to play and practice on. Our test ride area will be set up within the family-friendly cycle space sponsored by Newcastle Permanent, where there will be fun activities for kids and coffee for parents!
Come and set your kids free on our track for a while and ask us about the DRIFT BIKES REVOLVE kids bike exchange and upgrade program.
Or drop by the DRIFT BIKES expo and have a chat to the crew. Bring the guys a coffee and you'll get a free hug.
For racing enthusiasts, Bikefest offers one of the region’s premier competitive events – the Orica Mick Chapman Memorial Criterium. Honeysuckle will be humming on Sunday with racing starting from 9:00am.
We encourage you to pump up the tyres and gather up your family and friends to come join Newcastle's thriving cycling community at what will be a friendly and inspiring weekend of all things bikes.

The bike overall rips. Climbs with ease and descends like a beast. A bit in the heavier side but I cant really notice it when riding. The rear Assegai is pretty sluggish while climbing or rolling on flat surfaces but again, it is hardly noticeable.
Product exactly as described which was great as there was an older version of the exact same helmet that did not come with a visor. The newer models did include visor. The items were posted the next day and arrived very quickly. Thank you
