Drift Bikes is stoked to announce GT Bicycles as the newest addition to our growing range of bike brands!
Chosen for its incredible value, huge range of colours, progressive geometry and growing success on the global race calendar, we feel GT Bicycles will be right at home amongst the already stellar range of bikes at Drift Bikes.
Robbie McNaughton, Drift Bikes Founder, had this to say about GT, “I have followed this brand since I began mountain biking. GT was my first ever mountain bike, so naturally I am stoked to see this brand return to Drift Bikes. We sold GT at our first store back in the mid 2000’s. I also managed their downhill mountain bike team for many years. I always loved their motto which was was 'Race on Sunday, sell on Monday'.
Back in the early days GT was known for its R&D and commitment to racing. I do feel that the brand lost its way a little, being bought and sold many times over in the corporate jungle. They have definitely turned a corner and returned to their roots. GT has committed to developing their bikes with a proven suspension platform. Also listening to what riders want in terms of geometry, which has no doubt stemmed from working with top riders such as Martin Maes and Wyn Masters.”
We currently have the GT kids and hardtail range on the floor at Drift Bikes with dual suspension Force, Sensor and Fury models rolling onto the floor early September. The highly anticipated Grade Carbon Gravel Road bikes are landing in October.
