Oh what a night, late september, ah wait, no it's August. Firstly, it was so awesome to see our most successful instore night ever! and for it to revolve around servicing your bikes suspension! With record numbers arriving to Thursday nights Maintenance Workshop with Brad Kelly, the beer and cider got flowing early and we got straight in to uncovering how to look after your suspension between services.
With stripped down forks and shocks being passed around the room it was great to see people not only asking questions but also gaining a noticeable understanding of what their suspensions line of defence was against dirt, dust, sand and water. Moving on from suspension servicing we talked a little about suspension setup and how easy it is to experiment with your settings to dial in that ideal ride. What was great for all of us here at Drift was to see the humble and inquisitive nature of all that showed up. Everyone that came along had a genuine interest in making their bike perform at its best and thats exactly what Drift are all about.
It was interesting to hear some of the complaints that people are dealing with regarding brakes and we look forward to working with any of you who can't seem to make your brakes work without compromise. Hopefully some of you can get there with some of the tips we touched on during the evening. The final part of the evening looked into the finesse involved in fitting a new gear cable inner and outer. Whilst some people found this a little on the easy side it was great to be able to help those who hadn't been down this road before and even better when it came to the light bulb moment of one customer who had just been fitting new inner cables with no success. Stoked to be able to help out with such a simple thing that will serve our attendees for years to come. Lastly we want to mention that these nights are absolutely free and we want to encourage anyone and everyone to come along and experience what we believe to be a fun and stress free learning environment to help make your bike even faster! Thanks to everyone for coming and for all of your continued support of the Drift Bikes Service Centre
