Cycle network linking Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock

March 17, 2014

news-drift Looks like talks about the development of a Cycle network linking Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock are continuing. The network is pegged to utilise a large portion of the regions now disused railway lines incorporating a number of breath taking bridge crossings of nearly 100 years of age. We agree this will be a huge asset for our region. Not exactly sure how it will link up with Telarah as the below linked article describes but a great proposal all the same. With the rapidly increasing number of cyclists it will only encourage more cyclists to the region and the associated good health that comes with it. We will be keeping an eager eye on this project as it unfolds. Read more here.
