Santa Cruz frame Raffle for Goffy
1 |
Drift Bikes/Santa Cruz rider Ben Goff crashed recently during a downhill practice session at the Awaba mountain bike park. He sustained a serious injury and has a long way to recovery. To help him get through this tough time we have organised a Santa Cruz Chameleon frame for raffle thanks to the support of Santa Cruz. The raffle will be drawn next month when the Santa Cruz Solo lands in store and hopefully Ben will be home to draw the raffle himself.
Here is the latest update from bens better half and resident nurse Emma
"Great news for Ben. We have just seen the ortho specialist at Liverpool and he will be gong in for more theatre on the 20th of August for bone grafting, removal of the hardware and application of new fixation. They will then rebrake his leg above the trauma site and this will be the site for the leg lengthening. Looking like 6-8 months in ex fixation but the dr is hopeful to regain all of bens leg length back. Back to the John hunter today or tomorrow where they will need to reposition his foot. No need for ankle fusion at this stage but his Joint will be stiff."
